I did not receive my package...what do I do?
If your tracking shows your package was delivered but you cannot find it, the first thing to do is to check with friends, neighbors and family to see if they picked up your package. Next, take your tracking number into your local post office and have them check it for you. The delivery scan will show them where your mail carrier was standing when they scanned the package as delivered. They can then determine if the package was left at the wrong house and if so, they will go retrieve it for you and re-deliver to the correct address. The sooner you alert the Post Office to a delivery error, the more likely your package will be recovered.
What else can I do to avoid missing packages?
The USPS has a wonderful program called "Informed Delivery" that can be accessed online or through an app on your phone. It will notify you daily of your expected mail so you will be able to keep an eye out for packages and alert the Post Office right away when there is a delivery error.
