The story behind Red Dot Threads...
I've always loved to give handmade gifts whenever possible, and Red Dot Threads was born out of the encouragement of several friends to make these gifts available to more than just my immediate friends and family. I take great joy in starting with a pile of fabric and thread, and ending with something entirely different that carries meaning and purpose. It mirrors what Jesus has done with the scraps of my own life- crafting them together into a wonderful story, also rich with meaning and purpose.
The items available in this shop are lovingly handmade during nap times, after my girls go to bed, on road trips, and while driving to church. Each one is unique and made with care. They reflect things that I have made as gifts for friends or for my own family, and come with a prayer that they are a blessing to you or to whomever you plan on gifting them.
The name "Red Dot" is a nod to my daily journey living with Type 1 Diabetes, and the countless red dots that I see during the day (and sometimes night) when I check my blood sugar.
