Make a breathtaking ballgown with the new "Amy 1860s Ballgown" pattern! The bodice, bertha (decorated collar piece), and skirt are separate pieces, allowing you to mix and match. Included in the pattern are instructions for making a day bodice using the "Meg 1860s Day Dress" pattern (sold separately here https://pemberleythreads.etsy.com/listing/1419473218)
It is highly recommended that you make a hooped crinoline to be worn under the gown to obtain the proper silhouette. This pattern is available in my shop: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1464246799/

Includes pattern and instructions for ballgown
GOWN
Suggested fabrics: Silk, cotton, linen. Not suitable for heavy fabrics or knits.
Notions: five small snaps, one hook and eye, 1/2 yd ¼” wide plastic boning, 1 ¾ yd ¾” wide lace, 1 yd ½” wide lace, bodice embellishments, matching thread.

This pattern is designed to fit 18” dolls such as the newer slim American Girls, however each doll’s body size can be slightly different, so be sure to take measurements and adjust as needed. This would be a bit snug on the older Pleasant Company dolls.
Check my shop periodically as I add historical doll scale fabrics by the yard, perfect for this project!
Listing is for one pdf download pattern only. No clothing included. This pattern is copyrighted, however you may use it for making and selling doll clothing in your small-scale, home-based business, as long as you credit Pemberley Threads for the pattern design.
Designed for the intermediate level sewist
