Blue Mango Studio
Blue Mango Studio was born from three women of color who felt the need to create, share, and amplify art that is representative of our cultural backgrounds. We wanted to bring to light the small but meaningful aspects from each of our cultures and turn them into a part of everyday life. Blue Mango Studio is where we understand your frustration of wash days, the summer-in-December explanations, and the involuntary eye roll that happens each time you hear “log kya kahein gay.”
Why Mango?
We knew that we wanted something which would unify our different cultures and identities, something that would evoke happiness. We realized that the one thing that evoked in us happiness, nostalgia, and that feeling of home was none other than mangos. Jamaica, Brazil, Pakistan. Mangos, manga, aam.
Why Blue?
We wanted to make a logo that spoke to who we are as a brand; a logo that was fun, recognizable, and most importantly, vibrant. Vibrant like the Brazilian flag, Jamaican beaches, and Pakistani trucks.
