My Sewing Journey
Je couds depuis que je suis petite, mon professeur m'a appris à coudre une poupée à l'âge de six ans. Ensuite, il y avait un oreiller en patchwork quand j'étais dans Odessey of the Mind. Ma grand-mère m'a alors pris sous son aile et m'a laissé l'aider avec les costumes d'Halloween qu'elle m'a confectionnés. Au lycée, j’ai commencé à confectionner mes propres vêtements et cela a duré jusqu’à l’université.
Puis j’ai commencé mon parcours professionnel et au fil du temps ma machine à coudre était de moins en moins utilisée. Mais une fois que j'ai eu mon premier enfant, l'inspiration pour en faire des articles faits à la main a apporté un nouveau monde d'inspiration et la couture est depuis lors une constante.
La couture et l'assemblage sont une forme d'art dans laquelle je trouve beaucoup d'expression créative et d'inspiration artistique lorsque je crée de nouvelles pièces. La couture est un travail d'amour et cela me rend heureux de voir à quel point mes clients apprécient les articles artisanaux que je crée.

I have been sewing since I was a young child, my teacher taught me how to sew a doll at the age of six. Next was a patchwork pillow when I was in Odessey of the Mind. My grandmother then took me under her wing and let me help with the Halloween costumes that she made me. In high school I began making my own clothes and that lasted through college.
Then I began my career path and over time my sewing machine was used less and less. But once I had my first child, the inspiration to make them handmade items brought a new world of inspiration and sewing has been a constant since.
Sewing and piecing is an art form where I find a lot of creative expression and artistic inspiration when I create new pieces. Sewing is a labor of love and it makes my heart happy to see how much my customers appreciate the handcrafted items that I create.
