Having very small fingers, I’m always cautious about buying rings, especially when there isn’t the option to try on first, more so when the seller isn’t local! Virginia took the anxiety out of this by identifying which Spanish ring measurement would best map onto the UK sizing I had available. The ring itself is just the kind of stunning statement piece I have longed for - beautiful, vibrant, volcanic red enamel disk, set in rough oxidised silver to match the earrings purchased at the same time. Being adjustable, I can make the ring fit all but my pinky finger. The enamel disk is weighty, so being slightly loose to fit over my knuckle, it does have a tendency to slip a little, but this is no big issue. I can’t wait for an opportunity to show my statement pieces off 🖖

This is my second pair of enamel disk earrings from Virginia in as many months. I can’t begin to explain how accommodating she’s been in helping me to choose just the right colour, size etc., and ensuring that I’ve not had to pay any hidden export duties to the UK. These earrings are an absolute joy - beautiful design, quality materials & work(wo)manship, so pretty and lightweight to wear. I particularly like the unusual long hooks and oxidised metal. It feels like I’m wearing a little bit of sunshine. The biggest challenge was settling on a colour. I suspect these will be the first in a collection of many. Virginia has been incredibly helpful, combining skill, flexibility & excellent customer service :)

I'm Virginia owner, designer and maker of Les Things Jewelry.

I've always been interested in making, transforming, recycling objects or whatever I could get my hands on. The simple idea of creating something new out of raw materials or giving a new life to an apparently worn out object still thrills me.

I guess that's why I decided to become a metalsmith, that and the fact that I grew up in a family that owned a jewelry boutique in my hometown. We didn't have a workshop though so, although familiar with jewelry I had no clue of how those beautiful pieces were made.

I spent three years studing metalsmithing and design, started making my own jewelry since then and learning everyday something new and challenging in my work.

I love simple, clean shapes with special accent on color and textures which show the handmade process on a jewel. If you love it too, maybe you'll find this special item for you or for giving as a gift in my shop ....

Custom and personalized orders

I'm always open to any suggestion or idea you could have to modify an existing model on my shop or to make a different design you have in mind. Don't hesitate to ask, just asking doesn't compromise you in any way.

Sizing details

Since etsy is an international marketplace, my item descriptions always show measurements in both inches and centimetres. I also try to add photos of my designs with a double system rule in order to help you to visualize their measurements.

Care instructions

My designs are made to last. Anyway, some care and manteinance is needed:

Matte silver - You can rub it with an eraser, this will remove light oxidation. In case you need to remove severe oxidation I recommend using a silver cleaner in liquid form.

For polished silver you can use any commercial silver cleaner; liquid, cream or cleaning pads.

Brass - All my brass jewelry is lacquered for its conservation. However, depending on the user and several other factors, this lacquer could eventually go away. In this case, you'd need to remove any remainer by rubbing it with alcohol, then rinse with hot water and soap. Once the lacquer is removed you can use a scouring pad for matte brass or any brass cleaner for both, polished or matte brass.
