Fine Beaded and Feathered Creations
My creations began when I made the decision to become a hunter gatherer. This lifestyle choice was for health reasons and has changed my life in many wonderful ways. I feel a deeply personal responsibility to utilize as much as I can from my harvests. My feathered creations really started when I decided to use the design as centerpieces for my wedding. I ordered a couple similar ones through an upland magazine but they weren't arriving in time so I set out to make my own. I ended up making twenty two for my wedding and the ones I had ordered did not arrive until a month after my wedding. Needless to say I was very pleased at the quality that mine had developed in to. As a result my friends urged me to sell them publicly and I have also connected with interior designers. I really enjoy creating them and also look at them with an appreciation of where they came from and the adventures I had to get them.
My skull beading began in the same way. Being the wife of a hunter I enjoy watching an otherwise blank head turn in to a work of art. It adds meaning to the piece and knowing its origins anchors a deep appreciation. My life is full circle, for that I am so grateful!
