That Girl Press
From childhood to college, nothing made me squeal with delight quite like a crisp sheet of paper, a freshly sharpened pencil and anything in the shade of brown. These three things were such a trinity of happiness for me, upon meeting the lovely man who would become my husband, my mother declared "only you would meet the man of your dreams and his last name would be Brown." Silly but true.
That trinity has since expanded to include that not only very wonderful Mr. Brown, but our two kids, a very bossy cat, a real obsession with good coffee, great wine and yes, of course, still lots and lots of pretty paper. With the support of friends and family, in 2009 I turned my lifelong obsession with paper into my first studio. That Girl Press is the home of my ever evolving paper adventures.
With deep southern roots my designs tend to be a mix of Southern charm, with their delicate details and romantic color palettes and classic simplicity with playful, modern typography - for which I have a deep serious love affair with. I cannot help but be drawn to clean lines and beautiful type and the perfection that is created when those two are matched with letterpress printing. While I cannot say how much I love letterpress - and how thrilled I am offer that option - I also know that every clients needs and budgets are different. So I work to offer multiple printing options; letterpress, foil and embossing as well flat printed options that still let you create stunningly beautiful printed pieces at highly affordable prices.
The name That Girl Press is a homage to my mom who used to admonish me to always do as well as I could, always be kinder than necessary and always find joy in the little things... to work, to strive, to always be that kind of girl. Welcome to That Girl Press. I hope you like my shop.
