The Story of 3DtankMod
For years, my passion for historical tanks lived entirely on a screen. I spent countless hours in tank video games, fascinated by the engineering, the history, and the sheer presence of these machines. Eventually, I wanted something more tangible — to bring those vehicles out of the game and onto my desk. That curiosity sparked my journey into 3D printing, and what began as a personal quest to hold these machines in my hands quickly grew into 3DtankMod.
The Studio & The Craft
Today the studio runs on a fleet of eleven printers, each one named after a WWII vehicle — and every kit is printed to order with a massive amount of hobbyist soul. I'm not a faceless factory; I'm a dedicated maker who obsesses over the details, because I know you'll be the one spending hours building, painting, and weathering these models.
To bring you the most accurate and exciting vehicles, I proudly collaborate with world-class designers under official licence, including Windham Graves, TigerAce1945, and Fighting Vehicles. While I print, scale, and perfect their designs for your workbench, I'm also deep into learning SolidWorks — with the goal of one day bringing my own original designs to the community.
Patience, Precision, and the Outdoors
When I'm not calibrating a printer or studying CAD wireframes, you'll usually find me in the woods. As a Forestry student, I've found a surprising connection between my studies and my shop: understanding nature takes immense patience and a keen eye for detail — exactly what it takes to achieve a flawless, high-resolution print.
My Promise to You
Every tank, turret, and track that leaves this shop is a project I'd be proud to display on my own shelf. Whether you're building a 1/56 Bolt Action army, a sprawling diorama, or you love the smell of primer in the morning — I'm here to give you the best canvas possible.
Thank you for supporting an independent maker and being part of this journey. Happy building!
