8Store is run by a small team of designers in Guangzhou, the heart of China's textile industry — and we have a habit we can't quit: collecting fabric.

Our work takes us inside the mills, trade halls, and sample rooms that most makers never get to see. And every so often, something stops us mid-step. A fabric woven with optical fibers that glows like a starry sky. A thread that shifts color in warm hands. A faux leather that blooms into a mesh of hidden color when you stretch it. We pass these around the studio, play with them, argue about what they could become —and then we can't help wondering what someone with a wilder imagination would do.

That's what this shop is. Since 2014, we've been sharing the most interesting, imagination-rich materials we come across — fiber optic light-up fabric, electroluminescent (EL) thread, thermochromic color-changing yarn, HD mirror foils, sculptural 3D meshes, sheer silk bridal textiles, and trims you won't find in a regular fabric store — cut to order and shipped to creators in 70+ countries.

The best part of running 8Store is seeing what comes back: a wedding dress lit from within, a jellyfish costume that won the contest, a fashion-school collection that made the front row lean in. Our fabrics are only ever half the story. You are the other half.
