Frequently asked questions
Do you do custom designs?
Yes, I have listings that offer custom designs. If you have something specific that you'd like, please message me and we can collaborate.
What types of files will I receive?
I include SVG, DXF, PNG AND EPS files.
SVG is compatible with:
Silhouette Designer Edition, Make the cut (MTC), Sure cuts a lot (SCAL), Brother Scan and Cut "Canvas" and Cricut Design Space.
DXF is compatible with:
Silhouette Studio Basic Edition
EPS is compatible with:
Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, and Inkscape.
PNG is a photo file and is compatible with any photo editing software.
Can I sell things I make with these designs?
Yes, all my files come with a commercial use license which means you can make and sell physical products (made by you) with my designs.
You cannot sell, give them away or use them as part of another digital product for sale.
You cannot list them for sell on 3rd party sites such as Zazzle or Red Bubble.
If you aren't sure, please just ask me.
How do I unzip the zipped folder?
How to unzip a file:
On a PC
-right click on file
-click extract all
-choose the location you would like to files to be placed
-click extract
the files are now ready to use.
On a MAC
-double click to unzip
On a mobile device
- if you are on an iphone or ipad and have the latest IOS update, you can unzip the file in the files app with the blue folder icon, by clicking on the zip folder.
- if you don't have the updated IOS, you can install and use the izip app for free from the app store.
My Files are not opening, please help.
You must first unzip the file before opening it in your program. On a PC you will right click on the file and then click extract all. On a Mac you will double click on the file and it will open the folders. All of the files will be in the folder after you unzip the file.
It is also possible that it is a browser issue. I recommend using Google chrome as your browser.
Where is the SVG file?
I include svg's with all my files. If you do not see an svg, your computer has renamed it as an .html file with a google chrome symbol.
It is still an svg and works the same. Your computer has just assigned svg's to be opened in google chrome.
Where do I find my files?
There are two places you can download your digital file.
1. you should have received an email from Etsy with a link to your download. Be sure you are signed into Etsy before you click the link.
2. Click on your profile at the top of Etsy and in the drop down menu click "purchases and reviews". You can find all your previous purchases there and all digital downloads will have a download button next to them.
(Please note: you cannot download from the Etsy mobile app, you must use a web browser).
I can't open the bundle or the files are all blank. What's happening?
When you purchase a large bundle you will receive a pdf with a link to a zipped file in dropbox. When it opens, it will look like you can just click on them and open them. But you must download the zip file to your computer and unzip the file from there. Then you will be able to locate and open your files for use.
If they are blank, check to make sure that they are not the White files. Those will appear Blank but they are there. Typically, you would use the PNG file or the SVG file for this. Otherwise the main files will all be either the colored file you bought or black and white.
Grunge files will always just be PNGs. You can not cut a grunge file (unless you want to try weeding all those little tiny pieces, ;))
