5 out of 5 starsVery pretty and delicate but the tiny pieces were a quite a bit smaller than I expected. They are about so small that they are about the size of a small child’s fingernail. They are too small for me but the description says mini, and they are that.

4 out of 5 starsI've gotten lots of compliments on the little wax acorns I've made with this mold. I had to do some clean up on the mold, and it does not sit flat, so has to be propped up straight when the wax is drying. BUT it makes some super cute acorns for my autumn candles.

I've owned A Cake To Remember LLC, a custom wedding cake business in Richmond VA since 1999. In 2016 I stopped doing custom cakes and started concentrating on making gumpaste flowers and other cake decorating supplies.

I also love helping other people learn to decorate cakes that will make their friends jealous...I've made THOUSANDS of cakes (seriously) and I'm glad to help people figure out what they need and how to use it to make their cake inspiration come to life.
I was an art student, and I used to design costumes for the theater. I also did a lot of gardening before I developed too many allergies, so I do enjoy combining the design part of it with flowers.
By using premade decorations you can take a homemade or a plain cake and fancy it up to make a prettier cake than you'd be able to afford otherwise. I've sold a lot of flowers to brides who were having friends or family do the baking, but who didn't know how to make the flowers.
The silicone molds in my shop were originally intended for cake decorating only, but I've noticed that a lot of other crafters buy them to use for jewelry, candles, soap, etc. Feel free to send me any questions that you have about alternate uses for the molds, since some molds will work better for certain purposes.
I also do videos for decorators on youtube at www.youtube.com/karabuntin and sell tutorials on Etsy that are designed for decorators who want to make their own flowers. I think that anyone can learn to work with gumpaste and make beautiful flowers to put on cakes, it's just a matter of practice!

Frequently asked questions
Do you accept custom orders, and can you match my colors?
It depends... I might be able to change the color on certain wafer paper files., but you should check before ordering. I can't match colors exactly but can get them pretty close (except for purple, that's a tricky one in food colors.) I'm not currently taking custom orders for totally new designs.
Can you rush my order or do overnight delivery?
I don't do anything overnight delivery. I might be able to do priority express in the U.S. (one to two day delivery) for certain items, but it's expensive and I don't guarantee delivery times since that's out of my control. If you need something fast please contact me before placing the order, or I may have to cancel if I can't fill it within the time frame you need it.
How long does wafer paper last, and how soon should I place my order?
I ship items as quickly as I can, and I don't hold orders until a later date.
Wafer paper butterflies are good for a year or more if they're kept dry and out of sunlight to avoid fading.
If you store things at room temperature in a dry area they'll be fine for months, if not years. Wafer paper doesn't spoil.
Can you make me a custom mold?
It depends. I need to have an actual item to use to make a mold, so I can't make one from a picture of a piece of lace, for example. But if you have something that you're willing to send to me I might be able to create a mold from it. I usually can't make a larger or smaller version of molds that I already have listed (again, I need an original to make a mold from).
How long does it take for you to put my order in the mail?
I ship packages Monday through Friday or Saturday. I try to ship as quickly as possible.
Edible butterflies, wafer paper, supplies, and silicone molds can usually be shipped the first business day after the order is placed.
Paper flowers can be shipped two to three days after the order is placed.
Gumpaste items may take a few days to get in the mail.
Are VAT taxes and import fees included in the price?
Individual countries have different laws about import taxes and fees. the buyer is responsible for paying any fees collected when the package is picked up. I can't mark an item as a gift to avoid paying those fees, that's considered mail fraud and is illegal.
VAT taxes are charged by individual countries, and laws are different everywhere. If Etsy is required to collect VAT taxes they will be charged when the sale goes through.
Certain countries have additional customs and postal fees which are imposed when the package is delivered. It's the responsibility of the customer to check on any laws specific to his or her own country and to pay any additional fees.
How long will it take for me to get my order?
All "ships free over $35" orders will be sent first class unless the weight calls for priority, or the customer chooses to pay for the priority upgrade when they purchase.
Etsy provides estimated delivery dates at checkout, depending on the type of mail service you select. THESE ARE ESTIMATES AND ARE NOT GUARANTEED!!! I can't emphasize this enough, if you have less than a week before you need the item for US customers, or less than three or even four weeks for international customers, DO NOT ORDER unless you're willing to take a chance on the estimates being correct. The post office does not guarantee delivery dates, and it's totally out of my control. I don't guarantee that anything will be received on specific dates.
My package is marked delivered by the post office, but I don't have it! Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, if the post office marks the package as delivered, I have to take that as proof of delivery, and refunds will not be available unless a police report for stolen mail is filed. It's the customer's responsibility to provide a secure delivery location.
If this does happen, check with anyone who may have picked up the package and brought it in. After that, check with neighbors, or look around your house to see if the mail carrier left it in an inconspicuous area. After that, check with the post office in person to get the GPS reading from the delivery scan. In the case of stolen packages, you should file a stolen package report with the police and the post office so that they can track patterns os theft in your area.
Are your packages all sent with insurance?
All domestic packages are sent with tracking, and priority mail is sent with $50 of included insurance. If you would like to purchase additional insurance, or other services including signature confirmation, please contact me before purchasing.
International packages are handled differently, are all sent with tracking, but the rules for insurance are different.
In general, insurance DOES NOT APPLY unless the package is damaged severely or lost completely, and the dates for what's considered lost vary by country. If a package is marked as delivered insurance will not cover anything as far as missing or stolen mail goes. If a package is damaged please save the packaging since the post office requires photos as proof.

I can accept returns unless the item is edible or custom. Please contact me before returning items!
If you return something you're responsible for the cost of return shipping, and if the item shipped under the $35 and over guarantee, the actual cost of shipping the item won't be refunded. Please contact me before sending things back to see what your actual refund amount would be in those cases.
