5 out of 5 starsThe person I gave this cross to LOVES it and has worn it every day since he received it. Like me, he loves the message of a broken thing put back together. Really wonderful.

5 out of 5 starsBeautiful pieces. I ordered two and both arrived quicker than I expected, even after the seller accommodated a special request. Would and will buy again.

5 out of 5 starsThis pendant is even more lovely in person! The adjustable cord is a great length. I will definitely order from this seller again.

About AKintsugiLife
Unique kintsugi-inspired jewelry and accessories
Kintsugi is a Japanese art form that uses gold-infused lacquer to repair broken pottery pieces in a way that leaves the repaired object more beautiful and valuable than it was originally. All of us get broken in various ways by life, and I believe that this art form can remind us to find the beauty and value in the healed scars. Our healing becomes gold when we allow that healing to spill forth in the healing of the world around us.
I have developed my own modern methods to apply this art form to stone to make inexpensive items for use in jewelry and accessories. Because of the uniqueness of each stone and the unpredictable nature of the breaking process, every piece is a one of a kind made just for you!
My artwork (along with my writing about kintsugi living on my website) is my creative outlet for my own healing, and my shop is a way to share my kintsugi-inspired creations with others who are also seeking to find the treasure in their scars. My greatest reward is in hearing stories from my customers of the ways these images of kintsugi have been a source of healing and comfort in the painful times of their lives.

Frequently asked questions
When will my order ship?
Finished items will ship no later than the next business day after the order is placed.
Custom orders and made-to-order items will ship as soon as they are completed. A time estimate will be provided during the process of creating the custom order listing.
I cannot delay shipment of an order beyond the shipping time frame specified for that item. I apologize for the inconvenience.
What if I have entered the wrong mailing address for my order?
I cannot make any corrections to the address. If you notify me before your order is shipped, I can cancel the order and allow you to place a new order with the correct address.
Once the package has shipped, there's nothing I can do. If the package is returned to me due to an incorrect or invalid address, I will notify you of the return and refund your purchase price. Shipping charges are not refundable since those will already have been paid to the US Postal Service. If you wish to re-order the item(s) using a corrected address, you may do so after they are re-listed for sale.
I am not responsible for packages that are mis-delivered due to an incorrect address being supplied by the buyer. Please use care when entering this information!
Will my package come with tracking information?
All packages will be shipped with tracking information.
What if I have not received my order?
If you have not received your order within a reasonable amount of time, please notify me and I will work with you to obtain a refund or replacement through Etsy's Purchase Protection program.
Shipments that are rejected by the recipient or that are returned unclaimed by the postal service will receive a refund of the purchase price only.
Custom and personalized orders
I accept custom orders in order to design a new piece or modify an existing jewelry item or accessory to better meet your needs, but I do not offer personalization.
Please note that I do not have the equipment to cut or shape my own stones at this time, so any custom work will require that I have a suitable stone in the desired shape, color, size, and stone type. In addition, I have no control over the number, location, or pattern of breaks that occur during the breaking process, so I cannot accept custom orders for a specific breakage pattern of any kind.
To initiate a custom order request, please use the Request Custom Order button in the left sidebar to discuss whether your request is one that I can fulfill.
Can you repair my item using kintsugi techniques?
No, I am not accepting orders for repairs of customer items at this time.
Do you ship to locations outside the USA?
No, I no longer ship internationally. I only ship to addresses within the USA.
