Speading Good Vibes Worldwide!
My new adventure started a few years back. Little did I know it would lead me here! For me, I felt like I was one of the lucky ones because shortly after graduating high school I found what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, my passion and what I was good at. I worked in the transportation industry for almost 20 years before being sidelined by an injury. After owning my own trucking company for 15 years suddenly everything came to a grinding halt now what do I do, working for myself for so long I hesitated to just find a job. It was not long until I jumped headfirst into opening up my own small business a retail store that I knew nothing about. I could hardly turn on a computer let alone run a store and website etc. I thought if they can do it so can I, boy was I blinded! Damn, right I can do it but not before I started reading books and taking courses online to develop new skills I didn’t know existed! There has been a lot of very dark days where I felt I just couldn’t take anymore and I would look for things to keep me going, posters, affirmations, videos, quotes anything positive I could surround myself with.
I was used to seeing the world through a windshield and now I was confined to four walls every day! Now I was running a store and had built a website, but I had to drag myself to the computer every day, I kept grinding every day thinking there has got to be more, this can not be how my story ends! As I was browsing courses online one day I came across a graphic design course that I thought would be helpful in designs for my website, I took the course and found that I was kind of enjoying just being creative again. As I was designing a logo one day I thought that would look good on a T-Shirt....yup... AH, HA moment! I've always been a positive person who wanted to pay it forward in small ways. Going through some big changes in my life and career had taken its toll on me! At first, I was making designs and searching out positive things to help me through the tough days. Then I thought one day with so much going on in today's world I should share all these good vibes with the world. So I decided to start AMF Apparel, Now I get up every day looking forward to designing, posting, and sharing all the things that have helped me discover the new me!
