Bienvenue dans mon endroit heureux. Dans cet endroit, je peux manier une torche et un marteau pour transformer une simple feuille de métal en quelque chose de spécial. Vous pouvez généralement me trouver dans mon studio. Une symphonie de marteau, de scie et de perceuse peut être entendue dans toute la maison.
Mon processus commence généralement par mon carnet de croquis. Mes meilleures idées viennent de manière inattendue et s’épanouissent lorsque le crayon arrive sur la page. Mon carnet de croquis est un terrain de jeu où je peux explorer des idées, bonnes et mauvaises. Quand je me sens particulièrement inspiré par un design, je passe au métal et à la pierre et lentement la pièce se transforme en un objet tangible. Il y a un moment juste avant que la pièce ne soit nettoyée et polie où je peux commencer à voir ce qu’elle va devenir et ce moment est ce qui m’excite. Avant ce moment, la pièce, noircie par les flammes, peut être difficile à imaginer. Mais avec un peu de foi et d’huile de coude, l’argent commence à scintiller et le produit fini commence à se révéler.
Mon parcours dans le métal a commencé en 2009. Chaque pièce que j’ai faite a été une pierre angulaire dans mon chemin de développement des compétences et des connaissances dans ce merveilleux médium.
Entendre les clients dire à quel point ils aiment leur pièce est ce qui me permet d’aller de l’avant. C’est toujours un tel plaisir d’obtenir des commentaires de quelqu’un qui a acheté mon travail. Ma nouvelle ligne de bijoux de course à pied a commencé comme un cadeau pour ma mère pour célébrer sa course d’un demi-marathon. Je n’avais aucune idée que cela décollerait comme il l’a fait, mais la meilleure partie est d’entendre les histoires des clients. Pour leurs filles qui courent sur piste, pour surprendre un ami ou pour célébrer leur première course. C’est incroyablement inspirant.

Welcome to my happy place. In this place I get to wield a torch and hammer to transform a simple sheet of metal into something special.You can usually find me in my studio. A symphony of hammer, saw and drill can be heard throughout the house.
My process usually begins with my sketchbook. My best ideas come unexpectedly and blossom when pencil hits the page. My sketchbook is a playground that I can explore ideas, good and bad. When I feel especially inspired by a design I move to metal and stone and slowly the piece turns into a tangible item. There is a point just before the piece is cleaned and polished when I can start to see what it will become and this moment is what excites me. Before this moment the piece, blackened by flame, can be hard to picture. But with a bit of faith and elbow grease the silver begins to sparkle and the finished product begins to reveal itself.
My journey in metal began in 2009. Each piece I have made has been a building block in my path of developing skills and knowledge in this wonderful medium.
Hearing back from clients about how much they love their piece is what keeps me pushing forward. It is always such a thrill to get feedback from someone who purchased my work. My new running line of jewelry began as a gift for my Mother to celebrate her running a half marathon. I had no idea that it would take off as it has, but the best part is to hear the stories from clients. For their daughters who run track, to surprise a friend, or to celebrate their own first race. It is incredibly inspiring.
