A hand-chosen collection of antique and vintage, fine and costume jewellery.

Addy's Vintage is run by Erin & Kris. Erin's magpie tendencies lead her to collecting jewellery, and several years ago, with jewellery box lids barely able to close, she started selling her collection on-line in 2005. Together Erin & Kris work hard to consider all aspects of purchasing and giving jewellery, whether it's a gift to yourself or another!

We focus mainly on Art Deco jewellery, loving the mixing of metals, use of bright jewels, and the engraved and beaded details so expertly carved into each piece. Each item of jewellery is like a little work of art and something we'd be happy to own. By sticking to this basic premise we are able to provide our customers with an item they will love and cherish for many years to come.

Being based in London we are able offer a range of antique and vintage jewellery sourced throughout Europe and North America offering the best of the distinctive styles from both regions.

We are unable to show our entire collection in our Etsy shop. If you are looking for something specific, please feel free to contact us by email, phone or through our website. We have many more items in stock than are listed and may be able to find pieces based on your requirements should that be necessary.

We do our best to describe items as accurately as possible. If you see a listing that we don't have quite right, please let us know! We don't knowingly sell any item less than 20 years old in keeping with etsy's policy.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Returns and exchange details
Vintage items are used items. All items are as pictured and described. If you have any questions please ask before purchase. Our pieces do not come with a certificate or appraisal unless stated in the listing. We recommend that appraisals be carried out by a qualified independent appraiser, someone who does not buy or sell jewellery and therefore has no vested interest in the outcome of their findings.

We accept returns / you may exercise your right to cancel within 14 days of you receiving the item. The item must be in its original condition and can be returned for any reason. Outside the UK shipping both from Addy's Vintage and return shipping to Addy's Vintage is not refundable. The cost of standard rate shipping, £15 for items sent by Royal Mail & £40 for items sent expedited, such as DHL, will be deducted from the refund. Within the UK shipping at the standard rate will be refunded, however, the buyer is responsible for return shipping.

We are unable to accept returns on items which have been purchased on a lay-away / payment plan.

Pieces must be returned with their inventory tag still on and in the ring or jewellery box in which they were shipped. It is recommended that you return the item fully insured as Addy's Vintage cannot be responsible for items lost or damaged on their way back to us.

If you are returning an item from outside the UK the original customs label, CN22 or CN23, or the original Commercial Invoice if the item was sent FedEx, must be adhered it to the outside of the returned package. The package must also be returned from the country it was sent to. Please contact us for exact instructions. Failure to return the piece following our instructions may result in us being charged a non-refundable customs clearance fee and VAT at 20%. If these charges are incurred by Addy's Vintage due to incorrectly labelling an item during a return or returning it from a different country than it was originally posted to we will deduct these costs from the customer's refund. No one wants to unnecessarily donate money to the government so please contact us!

We are NOT able to accept a return if the item has been altered in any way. If the item was altered by our jeweller, such as sizing, then we will guarantee the sizing or alteration but are unable to accept a return as the piece is now considered to be a custom item. We cannot accept a return or be held responsible for any work done on a piece by someone who is not employed by Addy's Vintage. This includes resizing or repair work completed by another jeweller.

If something is lost in transit, arrives broken, or you have concerns about a piece please contact us immediately.
We accept Paypal or Etsy's direct checkout for all customers and for European customers we accept paypal and BACS or bank transfer. Payment must be made in British Pounds Sterling.

Payment or contact is expected within two days of purchase. Items not paid for within this time will be re-listed.
We ship from London, England and aim to ship within three days. Shipping transit times depend on the country the item is being shipped to. Customs, taxes, and import fees are the responsibility of the buyer. Please note that the UK has left the EU and VAT, taxes and duties may be collected by EU countries from 1st January 2021. Each country has different rules on what can be imported and any fees associated with importing. If you need assistance in figuring out any of your country's import regulations or fees please contact us. Sales may be cancelled if the goods are not permitted to be imported to your country. We reserve the right to change the chosen shipping method for any reason.

We normally ship via Royal Mail and DHL. Please note that due to Covid-19 items are taking substantially longer in shipment at present.

Shipping times are not exact and will vary depending on customs, security, weather, holidays, strikes, and other factors beyond our control. If you are in doubt as to whether your jewellery item will make it to you for your event please contact us. We want to make sure that your piece arrives safely and on time. Please make sure that your address is correct. Any items which are returned due to an incorrect address will be re-posted at the buyer's expense. If the buyer no longer wants the returned item, the cost of the item, but not the postage or payment processing fees will be refunded.

All shipping methods we use are fully insured, tracked and most require a signature upon delivery. This means that shipping is extremely secure and reliable, but it also means we are generally unable to post to PO Boxes. We ship to the billing address if paying by card and to the address on Paypal if payment is made through Paypal.

If your item is delayed or lost we will follow our carrier's, Royal Mail's or DHL's, policies and procedures regarding length of time before we can file a formal query. With Royal Mail this is normally 25 business days after posting for them to start formally searching for the missing item.
Additional policies and FAQs
For items over £300, we require a third down, a third in 30 days, and the final third due within 60 days from the date of purchase. The item will ship once all payment have cleared.

For items between £100 and £300 we require 20% down with the balance due within a month.

If a payment is late or you need more time please contact us. We allow a 5 day grace period to make a payment after its due. If we don't hear from you or the plan is cancelled for any reason we will refund the amount paid minus a fee of 20% of the items total price to cover our time, the item having been unable for others to purchase, and our payment processor's non-refundable fees. We really don't enjoy cancelling payment plans so please contact us! We are unable to accept returns on items which have been purchased on a lay-away / payment plan.

We are able to hold items for 2 days without a deposit.

The amount that something can be sized depends on how decorated the piece is, how far around the band or ring the gems go, what type of metal it is, and if it's been previously sized. Resizing more than what is recommended may put additional pressure on the design work and gems, potentially damaging them. In rare cases resizing can cause the loss of metal fineness stamps or hallmarks. We endeavour to keep all engraving, stamps and hallmarks intact where possible. I am happy to discuss resizing and answer any questions. I cannot be held responsible for resizing or work done on a piece by someone who is not employed by Addy's Vintage.

Vintage and antique jewellery and conversion jewellery can be fragile and is designed to be worn with care. All jewellery that we sell is in wearable condition and can be worn daily but is not indestructible.

To care for your jewellery we recommend that you remove it before doing any chores including washing-up, laundry, cooking and baking, gardening, exercising, showering, etc. Chemicals, such as bleach, chlorine, alcohol, perfumes, hair products, etc may cause irreparable damage to some gemstones, especially turquoise, opals, and pearls. Regular cleaning and checking and maintaining of settings and gemstones will ensure that your item stays in good condition. If you have questions about how to care for you jewellery piece to make it last for generations, please ask, we're always happy to provide advice and guidance.

As is true with a lot of internet vendors, we do not have a high street shop. This benefits us and you. We have a more flexible schedule allowing us to source high quality pieces and you don't pay high street prices!

We are located in London and sell online only. We're generally contactable Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm, though we aren't always able to respond immediately if we're out sourcing. If we aren't around we will get back to you, we aim to respond to any queries within 1 business day.
