Hi, I'm Tom.
I’ve spent my career helping people navigate life’s most difficult moments. After A Death is the result of years of experience designing simple tools to make life (and death) a little easier.
My background is a bit unusual.
To start, I studied law at university and practiced as a lawyer, specialising in wills and probate. I saw firsthand how overwhelming it can be for families to deal with the death of a loved one.
Frustrated by how inefficient and expensive the legal process could be, I left my job and co-founded tech startup Probate Wizard. We built one of the UK’s first apps for guiding people through probate.
After selling our business, I spent the next decade as a digital product designer, creating software that makes complex tasks easier. For seven years, I focused on legaltech, designing tools for a leading probate firm and a scaling London startup that disrupted the wills, probate, and funeral industry.
After A Death is a culmination of all these experiences. My goal is simple: to provide low-cost, easy-to-use tools to help families stay organised before and after a death.
