Another quality set of scales from Steve at Aimfront. This is my 4th set and, like the others, the fit and finish are absolutely perfect. The color is amazing- to me it appears to be almost a copper metallic color. I absolutely love it! Also, the texture gives an amazing grip- very secure while being extremely comfortable. If you are thinking about getting a set of scales from AimFront- DO IT!

Great scales. Fit is precision. Texture is great. Color was better in person. Decided to try these after purchasing some AWT scales for the PM2 and loving the aluminum upgrade.

Unfortunately, the distance between the pivot pin ans stop/lock pin on these scales is just a hair to long, which causes a late lockup at around 55% of the bar travel vs the normal 25-30%. To remedy the problem would involve replacing the lockbar. Everything else on these scales is superb and the late lockup might not happen on every knife. Update: Steve messaged me and let me know that the later lockup is intentional as he found it to be the sweet spot for the best action. The action after installation is excellent and the blade centered well. The burnt coyote looks great with my satin blade and hardware. The installation video is also very good, but keep a spare T6 driver handy in case the stop pin puts up a fight. Overall these scales are an awesome upgrade for the Para 3 Lightweight.

I thought I ordered the wrong scales because I couldn’t figure out how to fit the liners into the scales. Eventually, I realized parts of the liners around the pivot weren’t needed. DUH. Crisis averted. Then everything went together great. The extra washer and the tight, solid fit radically improve the action. Way better knife. I’m going to go throw the G-10 scales into a tire fire in the backyard now. So overrated.

Another top quality item from Steve at AimFront. This is my third set of Bugout scales from Steve and I continue to be impressed. The machining is beyond precise- I would say these scales fit more precisely than the originals. Installation is so easy, especially if you watch the how-to video first. The blade centers almost automatically and the pivot is machined so perfectly that the blade will swing like a pendulum when you back off just a hair from fully torqued. The Flow Path design feels extremely grippy and secure in hand. And swapping from the factory scales to these removes the toylike factory feel and makes the Bugout a knife that you can trust- sturdy and strong. Did I mention that they look great? Been waiting for this a while as I wanted one in OD green and man does it work, feel, and look fantastic on my knife! Much better than the Spyderco yellow scales that came with my maxamet blade.

This is a fantastic product-well made and aesthetically beautiful. The fit is perfect. Also, machining and anodizing were perfect also. Steve, the owner of this shop, was a joy to deal with-quickly responsive and helpful. A great purchase experience.
