Why Aimara Design exists
Hi, I’m Luis – founder of Aimara Design.
When we started a new chapter of our lives together in Germany, many things were uncertain. New language, new system, new way of living. Aimara Design grew out of that moment – as a way to move forward without losing my identity.
I come from Peru and have always been connected to handmade textiles, natural fibers, and the culture behind them. Alpaca, small workshops, honest craftsmanship – this felt like a natural starting point. Not a big business plan, but a first step into a new society, staying true to my own values such as fairness, direct collaboration, and conscious trade.
Over time, things settled. Life became more grounded, integration felt easier, and Aimara evolved along with it. Today, I’m surrounded by an environment that truly inspires me – art, culture, and creative people from all over the world. That energy flows directly into what we offer.
Aimara Design is for people who value freedom, authenticity, and their own rhythm. Small batches, natural materials, pieces with character – made for everyday life, travel, and a relaxed, mindful way of living.
