About AliceHuntStudio

Sales 23
On Etsy since 2009

My goal is to create things that make people smile, to enable them to see the beauty all around to uplift the spirit with beauty or cheerful humor.

I create a collection of unique and beautiful one of a kind and limited series pins, earrings and necklaces in porcelain and stoneware. My pieces are hand formed and I use a combination of under glazes and over glazes with a final application of 14K gold details. Most pieces are fired three or four times in the kiln.
Many of my pieces are miniature sculptures of flowers or leaves touched with a golden dewdrop, or impressions of flowers, shells, leaves and other subjects from nature shimmering with iridescence, gold highlights and layers of color.
Other pieces have a warm comforting retro look reminiscent of decades gone by, like a treasure from grandma’s jewel box. A whimsical humor is reflected in Prince Charming frogs, fanciful fish, bunnies hiding in the flowers or the expression on the face of a cat or a snowman.
They are elegant little sculptures with a sense of humor that are fun to wear.

Welcome to AliceHuntStudio on Etsy.

I make all the major elements in my jewelry from clay and combine them with other glass and metal pieces to assemble a finished jewelry item. My buttons are all handmade by me and are designed to meet the needs of knitters with large holes for yarn to fit through.

I form the porcelain and stoneware elements by hand from porcelain or stoneware clay, after the first firing I add the colors in underglaze and the over glaze. After firing again I add the 14 K gold doodles with the same gold luster glaze that china painters use for china. Then the piece is fired a third time to fuse the gold with the glaze. These items are signed originals you will find my A on the back.
