Welcome to our Etsy shop!
From a young age I, Richard, didn't have much money to buy many clothes, so I decided to design my own. I would go to Walmart and get a 5 pack of white t-shirts and put my own design on them with permanent markers.
Fast forward a few years to life after college. I began working at an alternative school, and due to some fun interactions with the students I used the printing company "Custom Ink" to design and mass produce the "Do Smart People Things" shirts. A lot of people wanted them, and they helped fund our big move to serve as missionaries in Italy from 2016-2019. I am extremely grateful to everyone who helped contribute to this big life change, and their support helped us tremendously.
Due to a large demand in that design, and an ever growing online market, we decided to open this humble Etsy shop. Wife is incredibly creative, as are the friends whose designs we occasionally post to our shop, so we have found that we have more items to list in addition to the original "DSPT" shirt. This has been big step up from using a permanent marker on a plain white t-shirt.
In this shop you will find a variety of things to purchase, (t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, mugs, tumblers, notebooks, tote bags, wall art, and whatever else we think would add value to your lives. We think that creativity is something that should be valued and expressed, and we love sharing this space with so many other creative people.
We are followers of Christ who love our two boys, traveling all over the world together, enjoying the peacefulness/chaos of our home, being fueled with coffee, and listening to the adventurous stories from our neighbors.
