Het begon allemaal met mijn eigen bruiloft... Ik nam mijn "lookbook" mee naar bruidsshows om mijn visie over te brengen aan potentiële verkopers en terwijl ze door mijn boek bladerden, vroegen ze: "Wie heeft je huwelijksuitnodigingen gedaan?" Toen ze erachter kwamen dat ik mijn eigen had ontworpen, moedigden ze me aan om een broodnodige niche te vullen - op maat ontworpen huwelijksuitnodigingen.

Ik had me jarenlang beziggehouden met digitaal ontwerp, mijn eigen notitiekaarten en kunstafdrukken gemaakt, naast het ontwerpen van logo's en het coördineren van public relations voor filantropische groepen. Digitaal tekenen was een evolutionair proces dat ik ontdekte nadat ik mijn schetsen had gemaakt en gescand en uiteindelijk gemanipuleerd met mijn computergrafische programma's. Al snel gaf ik het schetsen op en begon ik gewoon te "tekenen" met mijn computermuis en stylus.

Ik hou van het ontwerpproces. Beginnen met een leeg canvas, wat voor mij een wit scherm is, en het omzetten naar een kleurrijk ontwerp van iconische elementen brengt me zoveel vreugde. Het grootste deel van mijn werk is praten met elke individuele klant, horen wat hun verhaal is en het visueel tot leven brengen. Of het nu gaat om een visitekaartje of een unieke huwelijksuitnodiging, het proces is opwindend voor mij, vooral wanneer de klant tevreden is met het eindproduct.

Mijn eigen persoonlijke stijl is grillig eclectisch. Ik hou ervan om kleur en patroon te mengen, vooral heldere levendige kleuren. En ik ben er trots op dat ik voor ELKE stijl en smaak kan ontwerpen, maar mijn riskante, out-of-the-box gevoeligheid straalt uit naar mijn klanten en ze hebben de neiging om een beetje brutaler met me mee te gaan.

Ik leef mijn droom en wil graag het pad blijven plaveien en Alli's Studio-ontwerpen naar stof, meubels, accessoires en woondecoratie brengen. The sky is the limit en ik ben klaar om te stijgen!!!

It all started with my own wedding...I would take my "look book" with me to bridal shows to convey my vision to potential vendors and as they would thumb through my book, they would ask, "Who did your wedding invitations?" Once they found out I had designed my own, they encouraged me to fill a much needed niche--custom designed wedding invitations.

I had dabbled in digital design for many years, creating my own note cards and art prints in addition to designing logos and coordinating public relations for philanthropic groups. Drawing digitally was an evolutionary process I discovered after taking my sketches and scanning them and eventually manipulating them with my computer graphics programs. Soon, I gave up the sketching and just started "drawing" with my computer mouse and stylus.

I love the design process. Starting with a blank canvas, which for me is a white screen, and converting it to a colorful design of iconic elements brings me so much joy. The greatest part of my job is talking to each individual client, hearing what their story is and bringing it to life visually. Whether it's a business card or a one-of-a-kind wedding invitation, the process is exhilarating for me, most especially when the client is pleased with the end product.

My own personal style is whimsically eclectic. I love to mix color and pattern, especially bright vivid colors. And I pride myself in that I can design for ANY style and taste, but my risky, out of the box sensibility effuses to my clients and they tend to go a little bolder with me.

I am living my dream and would like to continue to pave the path and bring Alli's Studio designs to fabric, furniture, accessories and home decor. The sky's the limit and I'm ready to soar!!!
