Alpaca Threadz was born from a desire to make a difference during a moment of global uncertainty. In 2020, when the pandemic brought international travel to a halt, our founder LeAnn—also the owner of an adventure travel company—shifted her energy toward supporting the Andean communities of Peru and Ecuador. With tourism gone, these artisans lost their primary source of income. Alpaca Threadz became a bridge to connect their incredible craftsmanship with the world.
We are a fair trade, ethical company dedicated to preserving the traditions of Andean artisans who handcraft alpaca wool blankets, clothing, and accessories in remote mountain regions. By bringing their work directly to you, we help create sustainable livelihoods while protecting a cultural legacy that has been passed down for generations.
Alpaca Threadz also gives back 10% of profits directly to these families, helping them continue their businesses, educate their children, and strengthen their communities.
