Welcome to Amos Studio — a small ceramics studio creating handmade pieces inspired by birds, mountain places, and the little details that make a home feel personal.
My work includes two themes that often overlap: bird-inspired ceramics and Colorado-themed pieces. The bird pieces come from my love of shape, gesture, and personality — the tilt of a beak, the stance of a little shorebird, the charm of a raven or pelican or goose. I like making pieces that feel familiar but still a little whimsical, as if each one has its own quiet character.
The Colorado pieces are rooted in place: mountains, trout, pine trees, local towns, and the feeling of living near beautiful wild spaces. Some are made as ornaments, some as tiny signs, some as little keepsakes for people who live here, used to live here, visited once and loved it, or simply feel connected to the mountains.
Everything in the shop is made by hand from clay, so each piece has its own small variations in shape, glaze, speckling, texture, and finish. I love that about ceramics. No two pieces are exactly the same, and the handmade details are part of what give each item its personality.
My hope is that these pieces feel joyful, grounded, and easy to gift — the kind of small object that reminds you of a favorite place, a favorite bird, a trip, a home, or a person you love.
Thank you for visiting Amos Studio and supporting handmade work.
