Knit Beautiful Things
I began my creative journey in the world of knitting at the start of 2013. With a background as an interior designer and a mixed media artist, knitting came naturally to me . I view the knitting process through an architectural lens: I sketch ideas, search for fiber with the right structure for the design, and build a three-dimensional piece of wearable art, one stitch at a time.
For me, the material is what's most important. I choose high-quality fibers for all my designs, taking into careful consideration from where it has come. My fibers are sourced ethically and responsibly from animals living and grazing in the US, Canada, South America, and the United Kingdom. I also use organic plant fibers in my work such as cotton, linen, and viscose. I am always searching for new fiber companies to work with and source locally and via small business whenever possible.
I opened this pattern shop at the start of 2016 in order to share my love of the knitting process with other knitters in the hopes that my original patterns will be loved by others.
