Ich bin Illustratorin und Spieleentwicklerin und lebe auf dem Land. Aktzeichnen vor Ort war für mich nie wirklich eine Option – zu abgelegen, zu weit weg von jeglichen Orten mit regelmäßigen Kursen.
Dann kam der Lockdown und alles verlagerte sich ins Internet. Ein Freund postete auf Facebook, dass er Aktzeichenkurse via Zoom anbot. Ich habe sofort mitgemacht und seitdem eigentlich nie wieder aufgehört.
Ich zeichne jede Woche nach dem Leben. Manchmal in einer organisierten Session mit Künstlern und Modellen aus aller Welt. Manchmal unter vier Augen. Es gibt immer ein Thema, oft Musik, und immer dieses Gefühl am Ende, wenn mein Kopf zur Ruhe kommt und etwas, das vorher nicht da war, plötzlich existiert.
Ich zeichne auf einem iPad. Procreate. Habe ich mir während des Lockdowns selbst beigebracht. Ich bin da nicht besonders anspruchsvoll.
Jede Woche wähle ich eine Zeichnung aus und biete sie als signierten Giclée-Druck an – Hahnemühle Photo Rag, handsigniert, weltweiter Versand, eine kleine Überraschung im Umschlag. Nur eine Woche lang. Danach ist sie vergriffen.

I'm an illustrator and game maker living rurally. In-person life drawing was never really an option for me — too remote, too far from anywhere with a regular session.
Then lockdown happened and everything moved online. A friend posted on Facebook that he was doing Zoom life drawing sessions. I jumped on and never really stopped.
Every week I draw from life. Sometimes it's an organised session with artists and models from all over the world. Sometimes it's one to one. There's always a theme, often music, always that feeling at the end where my brain has gone quiet and something that didn't exist before does now.
I draw on an iPad. Procreate. Taught myself during lockdown. I'm not precious about any of it.
Each week I choose one drawing and make it available as a signed giclée print — Hahnemühle Photo Rag, hand signed, shipped worldwide, something extra in the envelope. One week only. After that it's gone.
