As everyone knows, Lithuania is a small, legendary country in northern Europe. While it’s not far enough north for polar nights or the Aurora Borealis, we do get plenty of snow in winter, which brings joy, trouble when doors get blocked, and eventually panic when it piles up to the roof by late January.
Lithuania has ancient roots, with traditions passed down from our great-great-great-grandparents.
In the middle of a snow-covered forest stands a magical workshop, tended by Andrius and Asta, a husband and wife duo. They create beautiful wooden items, from carvings to delicate pieces, and create unique, colorful stickers. Some nights, as they leave the workshop with smoke curling from the chimney, they see shadows and hear the laughter of wood elves.
A couple of weeks ago, a tiny earring along with colorful sticker was left in their workshop with a cryptic note: "Seneliumbai whis how yours darbazs should look." Though not in English or Lithuanian, it was close enough for us to understand.
From that day on, Andrius and Asta formed a pact with the wood and sticker printing elves. They leave their designs, and the elves either help bring them to life or create them on their own.
