5 out of 5 starsWhat first attracted me to this song thrush was its downward position on the paper that gave a beautiful arc to the bird’s body. Then to me, the combination of pen and watercolor is irresistible. Backgrounds are very important to me and this had gorgeous soft pen and watercolor branches. I was thrilled that the painting exactly matched what was shown on the artist’s site. The lines feathering in the bird’s body are beautifully textured and the bird’s head and eye are exquisite. Love the bit of red from the berries. Because this came to the US from the UK, it took a couple weeks which the artist reassured me was normal. It was packed expertly and arrived safely. I’m sure I’ll buy from this artist again and cannot recommend her highly enough to other bird and art lovers!
