When I first started out making product, it was purely for personal use. My daughter and I both have extremely sensitive eczema-prone skin, which I will chalk up to heredity and allergies. I was not able to use many store bought products, because they were either irritating to my skin, or I simply couldn't afford them. Through personal exploration, I starting making some simple home remedies and found that they were helpful, and worked!

I chose the name Angry Buddha for my shop, very simply, because while I attain to be accepting and loving and kind, I am human, and fall short a lot.
I am not a Buddhist, but I relate to a lot of the principles. I had somewhat of a turbulent childhood and struggled with addiction for a big part of my life. As of today, I gratefully have 18 years clean in recovery. I try my best to practice spiritual principles in my life on a daily basis. Between recovery, my family, and work, my life is full. And busy. I get stressed sometimes. A lot of times. Some days I manage really well. Some days I come undone. Hence the name Angry Buddha. For me, Angry Buddha means being human, accepting all of my human "imperfections", and striving to be better. More kind, more loving, more giving. I am a work in process. After family, Angry Buddha is my passion. It is turning out to be so much more than what it started out as. I’m striving to be fully self-supporting through Angry Buddha, and I’m slowly getting there!
