Aparecium! A latin spell meant to reveal invisible ink. A name for a store that has basis in writing and magic. Revealing things to us that we may not know are there.
Designing and creating handmade items is what we excel at. Looking at the things we love, whether it's movies, tv shows, or books, we expand on what is already there and create new items, new ways for our customers to express their geekery side.
At first, our customers were family and friends, but now we sell items to people all over the world. We make every listing by hand in our home. We add the options for personalization so that each of our customers can get exactly what they want.
We started out doing birth announcements, Christmas cards, and birthday invitations. We started doing banners for parties. It expanded into decals, canvases, and etched glasses.
We consider ourselves lucky that we can work inside our home to create each item. It allows us the opportunity to spend more time with our children and family, and creating our own schedule.
The experience of selling online has been exactly what our name is: Magical!

4 out of 5 starsHolds true to the shipping timeline so if you need it by a certain date—but it 3 weeks prior to needing it. But it’s worth it. You can tell it’s handmade so if your looking for flawless go somewhere else but if you want slight personal imperfections it’s amazing. It’s a little off center and the margins around all 4 sides aren’t quite even with white knicks in places. But again it’s an original piece so expecting flaws is a bonus to someone like me Also, watch out for packing peanuts—just so you’re forewarned!

How do I apply my decal?
All decals are shipped with application instructions. If for any reason you have trouble, please reach out to us. Decals will not stick to walls painted with low VOC paint. Some decals may not stick to textured walls, but there are tricks to try if you want to place a decal onto texture. Please message us with any further questions. If you choose to purchase a decal, you are responsible for the application. We do not typically give refunds for application errors, but we will give replacements so long you provide a photo of any errors.
Can I put the glasses into the dishwasher?
Yes! Etchings are permanent and will not fade or come off in the dishwasher. No need to hand wash.
Why does it say shipping will take so long?
I offer each listing to be customizable with either names, dates, sizes, and/or colors. I feel this helps the customer be more satisfied with their purchase if they have control over so many aspects of the product. This means I don't know the exacts of any given order so I cannot pre-make them.
I also have three children and work a "regular" job!
However, I am happy to discuss your personal timeline with you! Sometimes we have lulls in orders and can ship out the same or next day. Don't hesitate to ask!
Why isn't my wall decal sticking?
I provide instructions with each decal order. However, decals do not stick well to walls with low-VOC paint (the kind of paint that repels fingerprints). Textured walls can also pose a problem with decals that have smaller details. We do suggest ordering a larger decal with a textured wall.
I sell Oracal brand vinyl, which is high quality and also the same vinyl that I use in my own home.
Can I put drink ware with decals in the dishwasher or microwave?
No, items with decals need to be hand-washed only. The same vinyl that is used for car decals is used on drink ware, which is permanent Oracal 651 vinyl. It should have a long life if proper care is taken.
Rush Order vs. Express Priority?
A Rush Order listing jumps your item in line and makes for a faster processing time. It is separate from the shipping method you choose at checkout. Express shipping only gets your item to you faster once it is completed. Any additional questions about Rush vs. Express Shipping can be answered through private message.
Why don't you do refunds for vinyl decals?
Decals can be very, very tricky to apply onto a wall, especially if you are a novice! Application is done at the buyers' risk. We offer our decals in the forms of canvases and digital downloads, so if you are unsure you will be able to properly adhere a vinyl decal to a wall, we have other options available.
I also offer full customization in terms of sizes, colors, and often names. Because of this, reselling a decal often is not an option because it is so fully personalized to the buyers' tastes.
Why do you not cancel orders?
We do everything handmade and made-to-order. Once your order has gone through, we start the process whether it is making a stencil for glasses, painting a canvas, or cutting a decal. We will refund shipping before an item ships, but we will not cancel/refund orders once they have been placed unless it is within the first 24 hours.
