Eu amo crescer comigo roupas por tantas razões! Economiza tempo, dinheiro e pode até ajudar a salvar o meio ambiente.
-Economizando tempo e dinheiro: Uma das maiores razões pelas quais amamos crescer comigo roupas por aqui é porque eu passo tanto tempo fazendo roupas para meus filhos, eu não quero que eles superem isso imediatamente (especialmente quando eu realmente amo o tecido!). Isso também significa que eles vão passar por menos roupas, economizando dinheiro!
-Vendendo Crescer Comigo Roupas: Eu também vendia roupas artesanais para bebês e achei difícil justificar cobrar preços justos pelo meu trabalho, mas uma vez que comecei a expandir para crescer comigo tamanhos, era mais fácil para mim justificar o preço para meus clientes porque eles podiam ver o valor mais fácil.
-Ambientalmente Sustentável: Outra grande razão pela qual eu amo crescer comigo roupas é o fator sustentabilidade. Crianças superam as roupas tão rápido! Não é só difícil na carteira, mas também é difícil para o meio ambiente. De acordo com um post no The Guardian, se pudermos estender nossa vida útil de roupas por 9 meses, podemos reduzir nossa pegada de carbono em 20-30%!

-Se encaixa no Entre Tamanhos: Nós também adoramos que as roupas Grow With Me se encaixem mesmo durante aquelas estranhas entre os tamanhos onde suas pernas são muito longas para o seu tamanho atual, mas sua cintura é muito pequena para o próximo tamanho!
-Saco de fraldas Essencial: Crescer comigo roupas também faz ótimas roupas de saco de fraldas! Se você é como eu e esquece de trocar as roupas da sua bolsa de fraldas regularmente, crescer comigo roupas podem realmente salvá-lo! Eu mantenho uma versão tester dos meus padrões no carro para que haja sempre uma roupa que vai caber meus filhos se tivermos uma emergência de bagunça.
Como você começou?
A razão pela qual comecei a fazer padrões de Grow with Me foi porque eu passaria todo esse tempo fazendo uma roupa para o meu filho, e ele só podia usá-lo algumas vezes antes de superá-lo. Eu também tinha começado uma pequena loja vendendo itens de bebê artesanais e não poderia justificar os preços que eu precisaria cobrar para tornar a venda de roupas uma opção viável. Eu finalmente encontrei um padrão Grow With Me por um designer diferente (Maxaloones) e simplesmente amei a ideia. A partir daí resolvi elaborar um top para emparelhar com eles (que evoluiu para o Bunnyhug) e algumas calças de harém (que evoluíram para o Bunny Bottoms) para adicionar um pouco de variedade ao guarda-roupa do meu filho. Um dia eu pensei "talvez outras pessoas gostariam disso também!", então eu digitalizei meu padrão bunnyhug e coloquei no Etsy. Desde então eu desenvolvi muito mais padrões crescer comigo porque eu amo muito a ideia Crescer Comigo e parece que outras pessoas também!
Como crescer comigo os padrões funciona?
Na maioria das roupas há algemas que você enrola e desenrola à medida que a criança cresce. Alguns de nossos padrões utilizam cordões ou cinturas dobráveis também. As roupas feitas de nossos padrões se encaixam cerca de 3 a 4 vezes mais do que as roupas tradicionalmente dimensionadas.
Why Grow with Me Patterns?
I love Grow with Me clothing for so many reasons! It saves you time, money, and can even help save the environment.
-Saving You Time and Money: One of the biggest reasons we love Grow with Me clothing around here is because I spend so much time making clothing for my kids, I don’t want them to outgrow it right away (especially when I really love the fabric!). This also means they will go through less clothing, saving you money!
-Selling Grow With Me Clothing: I also used to sell handmade baby clothing and I found it hard to justify charging fair prices for my work, but once I started expanding to Grow With Me sizes, it was easier for me to justify the price to my customers because they could see the value easier.
-Environmentally Sustainable: Another huge reason I love Grow with Me clothing is the sustainability factor. Kids outgrow clothing so fast! It’s not only hard on the wallet, it’s also hard on the environment. According the a post on The Guardian, if we can extend our clothing lifespan by 9 months, we can reduce our carbon footprint by 20-30%!

-Fits the In Between Sizes: We also love that Grow With Me clothing fits even during those odd in between size where their legs are too long for their current size, but their waist is too small for the next size up!
-Diaper Bag Essential: Grow with Me clothing also makes great diaper bag clothing! If you are anything like me and you forget to change out the clothing in your diaper bag regular, Grow with Me clothing can really save you! I keep some tester version of my patterns in the car so there is always an outfit that will fit my kids if we have a mess emergency.
How did you get started?
The reason I first started making Grow with Me patterns was because I would spend all this time making an outfit for my son, and he could only wear it a few times before he outgrew it. I also had started a little shop selling handmade baby items and couldn’t justify the prices I would need to charge to make selling clothing a feasible option. I eventually found a Grow With Me pattern by a different designer (Maxaloones) and just loved the idea. From there I decided to draft a top to pair with them (which evolved into The Bunnyhug) and some harem pants (which evolved into The Bunny Bottoms) to add a bit of variety to my son’s wardrobe. One day I thought “maybe other people would like this too!”, so I digitized my Bunnyhug pattern and put it on Etsy. Since then I have developed many more Grow with Me patterns because I just love the Grow With Me idea so much and it seems like other people do too!
How do Grow with me patterns work?
On most of the garments there are cuffs that you roll up and unroll as the child grows. Some of our patterns utilize drawstrings or foldable waistbands as well. The clothing made from our patterns fits about 3 to 4 times longer than traditionally sized clothing.
