#5 Inked block goes through the press. Pressure pushes paper to transfer image - from block to paper.
#4 Inking a linoleum block using a large roller. Oil ink is spread thinly on a glass and then rolled over the block.

Handmade prints from a retired art teacher

In June, 2020 I retired from teaching art at an elementary school in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago. I had been planning to create some way to offer my handmade prints to a wider audience and eureka! I came across Etsy.

By the end of that summer I had already created my store with a couple dozen original linocuts and woodcuts. Currently the offer stands at 125 prints in a variety of formats and media on my store. I have made 161 sales thus far.

Thanks to the support of Etsy clients I am in the process of publishing a second book about my artwork. It will be available to the public by the end of December, 2021.
