Good solid fighting shield. Of my two shields, I'd trust this one to stop an axe. I would probably give just under 5 stars though, as some paint had chipped of the bolts when I opened it. It is also just slightly on the heavy side for me. But I love the fact I can wear this on my back, and there is a certain aesthetic to this shield I really like. Shield maker was great, kept in good communication and asked about preferences. Delivery time was pretty good too.
