Doin' What I Love
Throughout my life I have always enjoyed creating artwork. It started out just sketching and painting, but as I grew so did my talents and skills.
I took up beadwork in 2020 because I found it beautiful and culturally appealing. Creating beadwork helps me reflect back on my Choctaw and Chickasaw heritage and further the traditions. One winter I started noticing the leather on chaps, and saddles and was intrigued by the design and detail. That Christmas I got my first set of leather tools and took off stamping. I found a love for leather and enjoy creating new things that bring out my western roots. I've known how to sew since I was little from watching my mom. It started with baby doll clothes from scrap fabrics and old clothes and now I've expanded to many bigger projects with beautiful fabrics, my favorite being bible tote bags that I sale and use every Sunday to carry my bible to church. Crochet is a fun activity I love as well! I'm not sure when I started but I've always enjoyed creating something from nothing but a ball of yarn.
As the years have progressed, so have my skills. I am now 20 with more creative ideas every day! I aim to expand my shop and share my work with all of y'all! This shop showcases a variety of handmade goods! That including: beadwork, leather, sewn/quilted items, and crochet. It's all a piece of my heart poured out with the talent and skills God has equipped me with. I am a Christian and believe that Jesus loves us all! (John 3:16) I also believe he gives us all a purpose in life, and we can do anything With Him (Mark 10:27) For His glory! (1 Cor. 10:31) That is my goal here, to create with the skills He has given me and share His word at the same time! For his glory!
