When COVID shutdowns started, we, like so many other families, turned to LEGO to pass the time. My husband and I have always tried to include a diverse representation of people for our kids in the toys they play with, the books they read, and shows they watch.
Minifigures have always been my favorite part of LEGO and I thought it would be easy to stock up on a good diversity of pieces for our kids, but it was so much harder than I anticipated! It took me several months but I learned the ins and outs of where and how to buy the best pieces. I thought others could benefit from having someone else put in the legwork, and with thousands of orders and over a thousand five-star reviews later, I guess it's true!
Over the years I've expanded from different skin tones, to those with disabilities, various religions and ethnicities, characters from our family's favorite books and TV shows, and some based on neighbors, friends, and historical figures. I love using my knowledge to create unique and fun minifigures and I'm so excited to share it with others!

Frequently asked questions
Are ArtIsScience minifigures made from genuine LEGO pieces?
Yes! About 95% of included pieces are new genuine LEGO. The exceptions are a few elements are custom made like fantasy capes & some weapons. Any non-genuine but LEGO-compatible pieces will be listed as such in the description.
How big are minifigures from ArtIsScience?
I use genuine LEGO pieces and those are quite small, with minifigures being less than 2 inches tall and 1 inch wide (they have been this same standard size for decades). My listing pictures show what it looks like when held in a hand.
How does ArtIsScience package my order?
All minifigures are bagged in thick baggies and I bubble wrap it. I ship using bubble mailers.
Can I request a custom minifigure?
I occasionally do take custom commissions and prices will vary on what pieces are used. Feel free to reach out with requests, or if you have ideas for future minifigures!
