When I ordered this set of mallets from ArtsMallets I had no idea if they were what I wanted. I was brave enough to order a pair because of the thorough description of what to expect, what character of sound they would produce. They are exactly as described. I now have three different mallets for my soprano and tenor marimbas to use depending upon if I'm practicing by myself or playing with other people. And because I'm expecting the striking ball to last a long time I ordered the Hickory wood handle. I do not hesitate to recommend buying ArtsMallets. Norah S.

I had bought a soprano marimba recently and the mallets that came with it were not well matched. One was more heavily accented than the other.
