Arrowleaf & Pine "A Family of Artisans": A Family Tradition Rooted in Creativity
The story of Arrowleaf & Pine began long before it had a name. Growing up in a family of makers, I was surrounded by creativity. My dad, an engineer, could bring any idea to life, while my mom had an artist's eye, transforming simple sketches into beautiful realities. From wedding dresses crafted from childhood drawings to handcrafted gifts, creativity was woven into the fabric of our lives.
Though I always dreamed of inheriting a family business, that legacy wasn’t handed to me. So, I decided to start one of my own. It began simply enough—crafting Christmas gifts for my nieces and nephews while waiting for my husband to come home from school and work. What started as a way to pass the time quickly became something more when a friend convinced me to join her at a local craft fair. We had a blast, and before long, my family joined in, turning our weekends into a whirlwind of crafting and fairs.
For over a decade, under the name Arya Designs, we poured our hearts into every creation, all while watching our kids grow up. When I became pregnant with our youngest, I knew it was time for a change. We stepped back, took a breath, and decided to pivot to online sales, bringing our crafts to a wider audience.
At dinner one night, we realized that our business name needed to reflect everyone’s involvement and our deep connection to where we live. That’s how Arrowleaf & Pine was born. Both Arrowleaf (a flower that is a mix between a dandelion and a sunflower) and Pine are native to our home in Washington—strong, rooted, and always growing. The arrowleaf points us forward, a reminder that with family by our side, we can go anywhere.
Today, Arrowleaf & Pine is more than just a business; it’s a celebration of creativity, family, and the joy of making something with your own hands. From our home to yours, we hope our handcrafted pieces bring as much warmth and happiness to your life as they do to ours.
