Oh Pinterest ... solo un clic buscando fieltro húmedo y me "enganché".
Siempre me han atraído los textiles; Probablemente por el amor de mi madre por el ganchillo y la costura. Sin embargo, lo que más me gusta es la experimentación textil, y bueno, el fieltro tiene todas las cualidades para hacerlo posible. Me encanta explorar el volumen y la textura y mezclar el fieltro con otras técnicas como el bordado, el tejido y la impresión de láminas últimamente. Cuanto más pueda explorar, mejor.
Utilizo principalmente lana y seda colombianas, y algo de lana merino para los Estados Unidos. Tiño mi lana con tintes naturales y elijo a mano la madera para los tapices. También practico otras prácticas sostenibles como el reciclaje de los residuos de fieltro de proyectos y talleres anteriores.
Mi arte está inspirado principalmente en la naturaleza. Sé que es un cliché pero... La naturaleza es el campo perfecto para la inspiración. Me gusta crear piezas de arte para la contemplación; Algunos están llenos de detalles, algunos son más simples, otros son solo un punto intermedio. Lo más importante para mí es que traerá comodidad y paz a sus nuevos hogares.

Oh Pinterest.....just one click searching for wet felting and I just got "hooked".
I have always been attracted to textiles; probably from my mum´s love for crochet and sewing. However, what I like the most is textile experimentation, and well, felting has all the qualities to make this possible. I love exploring volume and texture and mixing felting with other techniques such as embroidery, weaving and foil printing lately. The more I can explore, the better.
I mainly use Colombian wool and silk, and some merino wool for the US. I dye my wool with natural dyes and hand pick the wood for the tapestries. I also practice other sustainable practices like up-cycling the waste felted scrap from previous projects and workshops.
My art is mainly inspired by nature. I know is a cliché but...Nature is the perfect field for inspiration. I like to create art pieces for contemplation; some are full of details, some are more simple, others are just an in between. The most important for me is that it will bring coziness and peace to their new homes.
