Frequently asked questions
Returns and Exchanges
All made-to-order, customized, personalized, altered items, or custom orders are non-refundable.
All items that have been altered (e.g. sized by us or by another jeweler, soldered to another ring, etc.) are non-refundable.
We accept returns on in-stock items only. You must contact us within 7 days of receipt and return the item within 14 days of receipt. We reserve the right to deduct the shipping charges from the refund. You will be responsible for the return shipping cost.
In-stock items priced at $100 or less are eligible for store credits only.
Anything that features a spring mechanism (e.g. spring gate charm holder) can be easily damaged. So anything of this nature is not eligible for returns and can be repaired or exchanged.
Warranty
We will replace loose or lost stones for the first 12 months after purchase if the issue is due to craftsmanship. If there is damage to the item, e.g. broken prongs (usually due to force or accident) or misshaped rings, we will replace the stone for a fee. After the first 12 months, we charge a fee for repairs and replacements.
This warranty does not apply to stones that are larger than 0.1ct, diamond slices, or any stones that are chipped through wear. This warranty is void if the jewelry is altered in any way by another jeweler (including but not limited to resizing, resetting a stone, etc.).
All repairs related to chains (e.g. necklaces or bracelets) and springs (e.g. push gate charm holders) will require a nominal fee.
Layaways / Payment Plans
We offer layaways or payment plans on all of our jewelry. Your initial payment should be at least 25% of the item's price. The remaining payments should be at least $100 each. The entire payment period should take no more than 6 months.
If you cancel the payment plan for any reason, we will charge a 25% restocking fee based on the full price of the item.
If you are doing a payment plan on items that are currently on sale, the sale price and discount will only apply to payments paid while the sale is going on. Once the sale is over, all of your remaining payments will go back to the original price. To take advantage of our sales, you should plan to pay as much as you can towards the payment plan during the sale period.
Gemstone Sourcing and Quality
Our gemstones are purchased from trusted sellers based mainly in the U.S. and Hong Kong. Everyone we work with promises to abide by The Kimberley Process, an agreement established in 2003 that imposes extensive requirements to ensure and certify that the diamonds being traded do not fund any violence.
We use primarily natural and earth-mined gemstones. If lab-created gemstones are used in our jewelry, we will always disclose it properly in the item description.
We can send any of our gemstones or finished pieces to GIA for identification and certification. The fee starts from $100 and this process will take up to a month. Contact us for additional details.
Custom and personalized orders
Most of our rings can be custom made in platinum, 14K gold, or 18K gold. Typically 18K gold will cost an additional $100 and up from 14K gold; platinum will cost an additional $200 and up from 14K gold. Contact us for details.
We can add an engraving up to 20 characters (including spaces) for free for most of our rings. It will be in standard font (Arial). You can include the engraving text in the note section when you make the purchase.
Sizing details
If you need us to resize a ring due to incorrect sizing on your side, we will charge a $30 fee. We recommend that you have your finger sized at a local jewelry store or jeweler. We also offer ring sizing kits for a small fee.

Production Time
Production time varies depending on the specific item. Please refer to the latest production time published in our Shop Announcement. As with handmade items, sometimes things go wrong and we experience delays beyond the advertised production window. We will keep you updated at all times if any delay is expected.
If you need to receive the item by a specific date, please contact us before placing your order. Always include a note with the intended delivery date when you place your order, so we can mark it accordingly.
Montana Sapphires
We are a member of the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) and abide by its Code of Ethics, which requires that we disclose and represent our gemstones accurately. It is of the utmost importance that we represent all of our gemstones accurately (not just Montana sapphires).
We purchase our Montana sapphires either directly from the miners (those who mined the stones from their Montana claim), or from a handful of suppliers who buy their rough from Montana (these suppliers provide us a certificate from the original mine verifying the origin). We also regularly spot test sapphires from our lots and send them to GIA for origin certification. We take it very seriously to document, verify, and disclose gemstones' origins in our listings.
For International Customers - Customs and Import Taxes
Many countries charge a fee on goods imported or shipped from abroad. This fee is called the "Customs Tax" or "Import Duty".
The price and shipping charge you pay for our jewelry do not include this "Customs Tax" or any customs clearance fees assessed by our international shipping carrier. In the event that you receive a bill from your country's customs office or our shipping carrier, you are responsible for paying this fee. Please inquire with your country's customs office on the specifics related to customs tax if you have any concerns.
If the package is returned to us due to the failure of payment for this fee, we will not be able to reship the package for fee. You will need to pay for the international shipping charge again.
