Sacred Adornments
I started my Etsy shop after realizing the Universe was practically screaming at me to do so! Everywhere I went for an entire summer random strangers would come up to me and comment on my jewelry and tell me I needed to sell my work on Etsy, I really couldnt deny the promptings that were happening all around me. So finally in the fall of 2011 I did and my life has completely changed!
I am a mostly self taught jewelry designer with a formal training in painting and illustration. After college I spent many years studying the healing arts including Reiki and Shamanic practice. I trained for 2 years as an apprentice to an Apache Holy One and lineage keeper of her people, where I learned so much about myself and the interconnectedness of all things. I have traveled to many sacred sites around the world and researched ancient civilizations my whole life. One thing that always struck me was how important jewelry and sacred adornment was in ancient and tribal cultures in ceremony and spiritual practice. I strive to create pieces with that in mind, that are more than just a pretty pair of earrings or necklace, but that have a deeper meaning and an uplifting and protective energy. The designs for my jewelry come directly from my soul, sometimes they come in visions and dreams, or sometimes I will just sit down and my hands will create something without putting much conscious thought into it, like I am being guided from an outside force. Right now my favorite is working with unique hand picked stones and minerals. These beautiful specimens inspire me and speak to me as to what they would like to become. I truly love what I do and I am forever grateful for the opportunity to make a living following my creative and spiritual dreams!
