I used a pulley in order to place the unit out of the weather. Two types of adjustment made installation fairly easy.

for only haveing it ..it lready broke this so called safty-axle now i have ordered 6 of these things..and is now repairing the one that broke..i don't know if this was a good idea..they should have install a clutch .and like i said it was only up and running 1 day..

Worth every penny!! Very well built and packaged nicely! Shipped sooner than expected… So easy to install, even I could do it. Thanks for the YouTube video!! The timer took me a little while to figure out (never used one like that before) but once I realized I needed to set timer one on then off and timer two on then off, it was great! I tested it in my house with the timer before installing it on the coop because I am skeptical about technology… Just like they recommend, monitor your chickens the first several mornings/ nights to make sure they’re all going inside before the door shuts. As it’s getting dark later, I’ve had to adjust my closing time. I hope this thing lasts forever because I’m getting spoiled being able to sleep in on weekends. Thanks again!!

We purchased this item last March but my husband did not install until this coming Monday. The motor does not work. Very disappointed and frustrated. My order # is 1992739951. We need another motor.
