Just a Crafty Gal in Queens...
I was born and raised in White Plains, NY in a family of artists. My mother used to macramé back in the 70's when it was very popular and is also a fine artist with special interest in portraiture and political. My father is an amazing craftsman making stained glass and has spent his life perfecting his love of watercolor and calligraphy. That story continues to four Uncles, an Aunt, three brothers and various cousins with many musicians and wood workers in the mix, including myself.
I took a particular liking to B&W photography, pen and ink, guash and all things string, my first awe inspired moment being cats cradle. I loved making friendship bracelets among other things and the love and knowledge only grew. It took me another 20 years to find macramé but it came naturally. After 15 years in advertising I changed my focus to the things and people I love. I also spend an immense amount of time growing and propagating plants, mostly edible in addition to my arts.
