I began creating jhumkis during the pandemic when I had some extra time, and over the years, my passion for designing and crafting jewelry has evolved into something truly special. Now, I'm excited to share these unique pieces with you!

What are jhumkis?

Jhumkis are a traditional style of South Asian earrings with a rich history, dating back centuries. They are distinguished by their dome-shaped design, though they can come in a variety of styles, materials, and colors. While jhumkis are my specialty, I’m eager to offer a wide range of handcrafted, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces to suit every taste.

Why "Avant Design By Riddhi"?
As the daughter of immigrant parents, my name, Riddhi, was often mispronounced. Over time, I embraced this duality—Riddhi (Ridd-ee) to my peers, Riddhi (Rid-thee) to my family—and made it my own. Similarly, the name "Avant" has a layered meaning for me. Derived from "Avantika," a common Indian name meaning strength, empowerment, and beauty, it also plays on "avant-garde," reflecting the bold, innovative designs I strive to create.
