Why do we do create art? Because the "Earth" with out "Art" is just "Eh."
No matter what genre or medium - creativity is a form of expression that brings us all together. My driving passion is to spread love and light through my ability to create and produce wearable natural art with my pendants, sculptures and pinecones.
I've personally spent countless hours creating these pendants and when I get to see others wearing them... I see happiness and a connection to the planet. I'm proud to use the creative tools I have been given to create & help bring back to our community as well as support my growing family. I theme my pendants towards earth, spirit animals, guides, sacred geometry, chakras, and nature. Having the symbols to remind ourselves of what we believe in and what we are striving for as it has been practiced for thousands of generations.
The prominent practice of woodworking in the arts and sacred geometry has been intertwined as a part of my life longer than I was fully aware. I’ve collected stones, crystals, sea shells, pinecones, petrified wood and ammonites since I was a little girl in the mid 80's. I loved finding the seashells split in half and seeing the spirals inside. I still reference my first book to better understand the power and life behind these ancient gemstones & crystals as well as how to best use them in my life. The very first batches of pinecone pendants came from my own collection without outside influence. Each individual slice expresses the fibanotchi sequence with delicate grandeur, perfecting the balance of chaos and purpose. I decided to cut a few open and try making earrings with matching pendants, filling them with crystals and painting animals on them - I sifted through & experimented with different species to find the most unique cut for my pendants. I still use knobcones as my preferred pinecone and make everything from scratch all from the confines of my home. Encouraged by my friends, I started selling them to the public after a year of perfecting the art through trial and error. The buying & selling of wood themed crafts has always been a part of my life through the other artists in my family. As a result, I wasn’t a stranger to “Art in the Park” in my hometown Ventura and all it’s handmade glorious trading.
As the years have gone by it has become a more powerful, ancient & recognized symbol than I originally realized. Only through my recent studies into these symbolic fields have I grasped at the irony and perhaps synchronistic value of my artistic growth.
I am not alone in my pinecone passion. Other artist I've encountered over the years create unique pieces that hold beauty and a sense of self-reflection; just as mine do. With that said: I am the original creator of the hollowed out Knobcone Pinecone Pendants filled with Crystals and resin coating as well as the concept of having the "shell" of a sea turtle be a pinecone. Back in 2006 I sculpted and created from scratch this concept - a shop favorite! It's amazing how varied the artistry of pinecones has become but for those two designs I hold copyrights and original design rights. The traditional Pinecone Pendant has been around at festivals & craftshows since the 60's as I have heard from my older clients and even before then! Nature's art never ending and always developing!
I've never really been able to settle on just one medium...until now. With these handmade Pinecone Pendants, I am lucky that I get to support my small growing family through this creative outlet. I recognize that I could not do this without my buyers and clients, please let me know if there a particular theme you want to be placed into production.
Thank You!!! I hope that the natural symbolism helps raise your spiritual awareness, healing efforts and vibration.
Love & Light,
Amber White
