Awiwawa store
I am Irina Werner, a German craftswoman with a heart rooted in nature and a passion for thoughtful, handmade creations.
In my old workshop in Mannheim, I bring stories to life through materials both timeless and diverse—wood, ceramic, and stainless steel. From wooden trays and adventure books to keychains, ceramic mugs, and insulated tumblers, every piece I make is shaped with care and intention.
Why Etsy? Because here, every item holds more than function—it holds feeling.
When I was a child, I found a small wooden comb in my grandmother’s drawer. Darkened by age, softened by time, she said it was carved by my grandfather before he left for war. That simple object became a treasure—not because of what it was, but because of what it carried. Today, I carry on that same spirit: shaping each piece slowly, purposefully, listening to the story it wants to tell.
The name Awiwawa is a whisper of wood and time.
“Awi” comes from the Old High German root for “eternity”, and “wawa” echoes the soft creak of wood and memory. Even as my materials expand, my philosophy remains the same: to create with intention, to honor the natural world, and to craft items that connect people across time and distance.
Welcome to Awiwawa—a small sanctuary of handmade calm.
May you find something here that feels like home.
