The Great Work
I am a theologian by education and training and the work I share here is a lived expression of my true vocation. To create something beautiful is to make a bridge to the divine.
In spiritual practices the world over, religious iconography is not merely a painting, statue, or piece of jewelry referencing a holy figure, but is an actual extension of that figure’s essence, radiating like a shaft of light from the sun. I believe all beautiful work made in earnest shares this property. From ancient times to today, statues, images, and relics of holy figures continue to reflect their own light out into the world.
My hope is to create small, beautiful expressions of the faiths that have given me eyes to see and have enchanted my world. More importantly, my work is service, and I hope that my efforts create something for you that brings these living spirits into your world, radiating their light, and illuminating all around you.
