Forest frolicker becomes desert dweller

My story began in New Hampshire. Surrounded by woodland, trees were my specialty,
and I exhibited paintings at art fairs and juried shows throughout New England. One winter scene was chosen to represent February in an “Artists of New England" calendar.

In 2005 Arizona became home, where I am now surrounded by gorgeous mountain views, drenched in sunlight. My watercolors also became full of light. I enjoy watercolor for its ability to blend on the paper. I just love to watch the colors mix on their own. The work becomes play, as I explore new ways to interpret what I see and feel.

Years ago, I worked as a decorator in a pottery studio, painting flowers and hummingbirds. I found great satisfaction knowing my artwork would bring someone happiness everyday in their home. My goal now is to share my artwork with more people, bringing joy and tranquility to the world. I still show larger framed paintings in local shows, but offer the smaller works unframed, on Etsy, to make them more accessible.
