Have you ever stumbled upon something by chance that completely changed your life? That’s precisely how my journey into leathercrafting began. For years, I worked in a job that left me unfulfilled and searching for a passion. One serendipitous day, while browsing YouTube, I came across a video of a young man meticulously crafting a leather bag. I was instantly captivated.
Intrigued and inspired, I reached out to the talented craftsman who guided me on where to source quality tools and leather. Armed with this new knowledge, I set out to create my very first bag. The response from my neighbors, who admired my work, was overwhelmingly positive. I found myself lost in the process of crafting, often spending entire days immersed in my new passion without noticing the passage of time. It was then that I realized this was more than a hobby; it was my true calling.
Choosing a name for my burgeoning business was an important step. Reflecting on my past, I saw a clear division: the years spent in an unfulfilling job were my “black” period, and the discovery of leathercrafting marked the start of my “white” period. This contrast inspired the name Black & White.
