Hello! My name is Jaclyn and I run Backing Wanderlust!

My shop started a long time ago when I made stethoscope name charms. I chose my shop name at the time because I was traveling all around the world every chance I could! My Etsy sales were "backing" my wanderlust. I took a hiatus from that after a while and my shop was dormant.

In 2021 I decided to reopen my shop but this time selling digital prints! I love designing these as I think they are easier for everyone! Digital prints open up a variety of size options that I couldn't offer otherwise. They also allow you to invest as much or little as you want in printing them making them much more affordable for most.

In 2024 I started designing stickers! I love my digital items, but I wanted to be more hands on. This has led to many stickers, bookmarks, and physical prints being added to my shop!

In 2026 I added embroidery! I have been hand embroidering for years and wanted to try out machine embroidery. I love both! I love combining the two even more!

I love having my Etsy shop! I love reading and this shop makes me feel connected to the reading community.

I certainly try my hardest to run my shop with proper licensing from authors. Items that are listed as 'officially licensed' means I have a contract with the author and give them a portion of my profits! As buyers of bookish items I think it's important to be aware of this as buying licensed merchandise is how you are supporting the authors and books you love rather than infringe on their intellectual property.
