Frequently asked questions
How long will it take to ship my order?
The time we need to prepare an order may vary. However, most orders are expected to be fulfilled in 3-5 business days. During large sales and peak gifting seasons, the production times are extended to 5-10 business days. Each item is made to order, designed, and printed in the USA. Processing and production times will vary depending on location and time of year.
What about shipping and delivery?
Estimated shipping times
North America: 2 - 7 business days
International: 10 - 35 business days
I'll do my best to meet these shipping estimates but cannot guarantee them. Actual delivery time will depend on the shipping method you choose.
Please remember that the delivery of your order is the responsibility of the shipping carrier (USPS, UPS, DHL).
Once a package leaves our fulfillment center, you must reach out directly to the shipping carrier to resolve delivery issues. You should have your tracking number ready when reaching out to the shipping carrier.
Will my international order get to me without any issues?
We use USPS (United States Postal Service), UPS, and DHL for deliveries inside the United States and abroad. All of our shipments that leave the United States will likely spend time in customs for the country where the shipment arrives. Tracking numbers and carrier information, if applicable, will be sent to you after the shipment is confirmed. We cannot provide any customs clearance estimates.
IMPORTANT: Any customs or import duties are charged once the order reaches its destination country and must be paid by the recipient of the order.
I accidentally put in the wrong address, can you update it?
It depends. If the item has already been sent in for production, the shipping address can no longer be updated. Please contact me as soon as possible to see what can be done!

Can I return or exchange the item(s) I received?

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Any shipment lost in transit or delivered with defects is guaranteed to be replaced or refunded. Custom and personalized orders
All items on BackyardPeaks.com, and our Etsy shop, are available to be edited to your personal preference. For example: if an item references 'lawyer', but you would prefer it to say 'attorney', I can update it for you. Please reach out via Etsy message!
Why does my shirt have a vinegar smell?
When unpacking a new shirt or hoodie with a direct-to-garment (DTG) print, you might notice a vinegar-like smell or an off-white residue. Don't worry, that's not unusual - it's from a fixation agent applied during the printing process and it's not permanent.
Fixation agent (sometimes known as pre-treatment) is used for all DTG prints across the industry. It helps the ink bond with the fabric, and without it, the ink would flake off the garment.
The solution is to simply to wash the garment! Neither the residue nor the smell is permanent and both should go away after one wash. If the discoloration is still noticeable, send me a picture to sort out a refund or replacement right away!
